Bowmer Holmes combine the unique sound of the Chapman Stick (Dave Bowmer) with live looping and mesmerising percussion (David Holmes) to perform their atmospheric instrumental music.
David’s array of percussion instruments are augmented by many unusual and ‘found’ sound sources, including old Ford Transit wing mirrors, metal kitchen untensils and Fairy Liquid bottle shakers…whatever it takes to find the right sound.
Many of their original compositions are inspired by the Ocean; riding waves and Dave Bowmer’s surfing travels. Their performances often incorporate on-stage projection of Dave’s own Ocean videos synchronised to their live music. They are currently touring and performing a set from their Wavedance CD.
